History: | With ties dating back to Joan of Arc, the city of Tour, France was home to the family who gave it their namesake. The Stemma Tours Chennille Tapestry is an intricately woven representation of the Tour family’s coat of arms. In the 14th century the family was represented in the King’s court and had his ear in political and personal matters. Woven in glorious royal colors of gold and red, the tapestry reflects a pair of lions framing a banner, crown and robe-each reflective of the familial role of the Tours in French history. Display in the entry or living room above the mantel for an impressive touch of history and hierarchy. Woven softly in cotton, polyester and viscose. Lined back and tunneled edge for ease of hanging.
